Greyhound Rescue's Annual Picnic and Fundraiser

Our 2011 Annual Fundraising Picnic will be held Saturday, September 17th at Downs Park, Pasadena, Maryland.  The festivities begin at 11:00 AM  and the fun ends at 4:00 PM.  Please remember to bring along a side dish to share (what a perfect time to test out a new recipe) - the hounds will provide pizza and chicken!

Downs Park sits along the Chesapeake Bay and offers a variety of natural and recreational activities all situated on 236 acres.  With more than five miles of paved and natural trails, including a self-guided nature trail, a playground for the younger children, even volleyball and basketball courts.  Did we mention a dog beach where your Greyhound can enjoy a cool dip in the water?

Volunteer

We need volunteers to help with the picnic.  Perhaps you have time to help at the Registration Table, or solicit and collect for our 50/50 Raffle, or help sell assorted items for your Greyhound such as collar/leash sets and muzzles.  If you can't help, we can always use coolers of ice for drinks, perhaps a case of bottled water.  If you can help in any way, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. No worries about your parking fees this year as they've been generously donated so hopefully everyone will come out and enjoy the picnic.  Please remember this is a "fundraiser" for Greyhound Rescue, Inc.  ALL money you donate via Admission, Raffles, Auctions, Games, etc.. goes directly to those Greyhounds out there patiently waiting for a loving, forever home of their very own!!
